Unhappy I can't believe I'm selling it (maybe)!

Guys, just listed my 73 Trans Am on ebay. Check it out, let me know what you think. Cameo White, restored with punch from the 74 SD motor rebuilt by Jim Taylor now residing in the engine bay. Hey, were all stardust...

Yes, thanks Tazzz2 it will suck if it sells, very reasonably priced at half of what is in to it, not including the scrub, polish and constant detailing....

Shes a very good, tight rig. Yes, a ton of fun. Best when people gather to ask questions at the gas station...

Sounds like there's some lamentation involved. Is this one of those "divorce forces sale" type of events? Sorry to hear you're having to part with your baby. (maybe)

Just curious why the Block was Decked, and Align bored. Usually this makes for a rear main seal nightmare, and Decking the block usually means shaving the intake to match etc.
Was the top of the block pitted?
I love the car, just curious , I get really hesitant about touching history like that!

Formulabruce Yes, the motor had o-rings installed at the piston bores, had to go in discussing with Taylor. As a result, the LS2X manifold was shaved to match, which he did himself. Rear main has performed well. Great question!

73T/A, Thanks! the car is gaudy enough when it rolls up next to you, don't need a screaming chicken to announce arrival! I actually like the nose bird only . Options like yours and mine really make the car heavier but are fun to use!

Cool car. Very similar to a '73 SD clone I built 15 years ago.
White '73.....a '74 SD motor w/non-SD crank, but mine had a 4 speed and no air. Wish I still had it.

larry, if I could find the sd car the motor belongs to I would probably keep the rest of the car and have Butler build another 455! Hasnt seen any hits in 5 years on the sd registry though. Very curious bout your sd, exactly the same set up, did you build a W8?
