Default 1959 4door value

Just wondering what' the market is these days for a '59 4 door. Body is in good shape, interior is apart but has new carpet. Pretty complete and decent paint/bumpers etc. Doesn't run but he's saying it's the starter. Had a video of it running.

I've seen all kinds of prices out there... $3500 to $8000

Just wondering what ballpark might make it worth picking up.

For comparison, this one is $1000

Is there just no market for the 4 door?

I've just been seeing that red one for a while now and hate to see it go to crap. If I got it up and running/driving. I was thinking it might bring $4k. I love the '59 fins, but doubt I'd keep it unless it was a wagon.

There is a market, it's just more limited than the 2 door & wagon market. The red car looks decent but hard to judge from one pic. The other one looks like it's been in that same spot for a long time. There was a 4 door on PY last year for $12k and it needed body\paint\interior. Guessing on the red one somewhere between $1500-4000. Last year there was complete 4 dr on craigslist in Minn advertised as a parts car for $500 which seemed very reasonable.

I'd like to have that red car as a daily driver.

'59 Star Chief Vista just sold by me for just shy of $15,000.00. The car was 100% original (including paint) with 21,000 miles on it.

Is that the one that's been for sale a while with no title?

Problem with this era of cars is that they aren't by any means common anymore but neither are they highly sought after. Projects that don't run and need serious work seem to command asking prices of $2000-3000, but then at those prices the car tends to sit a while. The runners\drivers seem to start at the $4000-5000 range and go up from there. I do not know if those cars sell quickly at those prices though.

Wish it was in my neighborhood I'd make it my daily driver.
I like driving all these old cars it's a blast. I drive my little
Tempest wagon and my 57 4-door my 64 Tempest and the
62 Tempest to. Trying to get more done so I'll have one for
each day of the week. Soon I'm getting there.

GT.
