1958 Canadian Wagon
This is my friends car for many years, does not look like this anymore. It needs a little tlc. I am trying to buy it for my tow vehicle! The nose is different from US cars, and it sports a Chevy motor from the factory I think
I do love it no matter what. |

Good Looking long roof! You are correct that all Canadian Pontiac's of the era have Chevy engines built in the St Catherines Ont Plant.
Looks like it has an extended roof to me (taller than normal) could it have been built as a Hearse or Ambulance?

I am not sure if it was a hurst, I would not think so because it has all it's seats. I would love to have it as a tow car.

It looks to be more of a distorted image.
If you look at Coach Built '58's they have a very distinct Balloon look not flat as the '58 shown. There is also a version with a scalloped "double" roof found mainly used as ambulances for the extra level of head room. Either way, That's a LOT OF WAGON!

It's a bad photo of a photo. I am going to look at it soon, I'll take a few of its current state.

Interesting wagon! The Canadian Pontiacs were all Chevy except for trim and sheet metal. That includes engine (6 or 8 cyl), transmission, drive train, frame, suspension, steering, etc. I think of them as cross-dressers. They are are Pontiac wanna-bes so they put on Pontiac clothes -- but under those clothes, they are all Chevy.

Love the '58 wagons. (But, I'm biased...)
Yep, that green one, Bonnewood, that one is like the gold standard for '58 wagons to me.... The Canadian one in the OP is a great looking car also. That will make a super cool tow vehicle.
