Question bucket seat chrome piping ends

I'm finishing up my 67 GTO buckets restoration. Does anyone have any helpful tips or tool suggestions for putting the end caps on the chrome piping? I'd appreciate any input.

Are you using original or reproduction pieces? There is a difference is a difference in the shape and finish of the two. On my 67 I did not have enough original ones, so I used the reproductions. To get the reproductions to fit tight I used a pair of fine tip needle nose pliers and carefully bent the "teeth" and test fit them as I went along..

Thanks for the tip! I assume that you bent the teeth inward so that they would grab better. Is that right? I have enough old pieces to do one seat, so I had to order repro's for the other side. BTW, great looking interior picture. My seats are the same color...
