Depends on what his definition of a little bit of rust is. Aftermarket body parts for these cars are almost non-existent. pics would be helpful in determining the worht of the car. What kind of shape is the interior in? Does the dash pad have cracks?

Default Can Am

Billy pretty much hit it on the nose.
Theres a point when its a restoration, and theres a point where the car is just a donor.
Hope it works out for you.
if not post it and I'm sure someone might be interrested.
(me?)

Nobody is accusing you of BSing. Just wondering where you went. It took you 7 months to reply to your own thread. Hope nothing bad happened in those 7 months!

That cars in Texas. I had already talked to a guy about it and the owner wanted way to much money at the time.

One sold last week on E-bay for $1500, hit hard in the passengers rear, and had the wrong motor, so they are going up, but $2500???

Hmmm...you see those on the roads only slightly more than a Can Am, anymore...

Haven't seen any at all to my recollection down here in PSL. Then again, maybe I'm not looking hard enough. You never saw a Can Am here either and soon there'll be two not two miles (as the crow flies) apart from each other (mine and the one that was for sale at that NJ dealership).

I have seen a '73 but couldn't tell if it was a GTO or LeMans, as I only caught a glimpse. There's a few Malibus and Cutlasses running around, too. The best I saw was a '75-'76 'bu driven by some old lady, probably owned since new, and it was damn near flawless by what I could see. Too bad I couldn't stop, but I was in the middle of US 1 and she turned off.

Gear, how's the aftermarket support for those buses?
