Oh yeah, that's really cool. I'd love to have it. Just to have, though. For performance, I believe that the Pertronix (or similar) unit pretty much eclipsed the previous technology.

I agree that it is old Tech, and better systems can be found today. But after having to rescue several friends who had the Pentronix fail on their cars the last couple of years. I am a bit wary of them. I guess it would be OK if you remember to carry a spare module with you. I ran one in my 66 with A/C just because I didn't Like to mess with the Points on a A/C equipped car, and the spare HEI I had would not fit. The guy I sold the cat to had the Module fail when he was 250 miles away from home, I had to trailer him back.

I think this '68 has been on the web for 2.5 years now,
Me thinks it time to give it up.

I always wonder what is going on that these things do not sell? Is the car that undesirable? Is it that far gone? In 2.5 years (900 days! ) the seller could have sold it one part at a time.

ETA: I sent an email so we'll see.

Exclamation

IIRC; someone indicated it had a rusted/rotted frame.

It was listed as rusty, but repairable.

That 67 Firebird in OH10 is not a bad looking car for the asking price, exeprt for the Chevy rims, and the 3 on the tree

If someone is interested in the "Ohio" car, I can look it over for them. It is about 15 minutes from me.

It is a beautiful looking car. Factory A/C and everything. Looks like bucket seats and headrests. Are they factory? That would be rare.

Yes they are Factory 66 Sprint Lemans, Pwr Steering, Automatic with Console, A/C, Head Rests, reclining Passenger Side Bucket seat, AM Radio with rear speaker. I added Rally Gauges with in Dash Tach, incorrect 15" rally II's, and swapped out the factory 3.08 open with 3.90 4 pinion Posi center section. I also had swapped in a 2004R that the new owner wanted replaced with the original ST300, and I added the worst dual exaust system I ever put on a car.

That car has an interesting History, per the PHS it was originally sold as a used car in October of 65 to a Dealer in the Wisconsin Dells area. And if you compare the car with some of the early 66 Sprint Advertising you will notice the Blue 2 Door HT with the same color's and headrests in the pictures, that look like they were taken in the central Wisconsin area. That and the fact that the car is a 1st week of production car, I believe it was used for advertising purposes. And the fact that I bought it from the second owner in Northern WI. But I was never able to prove it.
