Default UK Street Weekend 2024

I competed in the UK street weekend with the 'Tin Indian' firebird convertible. 2 race tracks 200 miles apart. no support vehicle, but a bunch of racecars and petrol heads doing the same.
Sick week and drag week must be awesome events to follow. I would love to come over to it one year.
Tin Indian 469 cube motor performed flawlessy the whole journey and we ended up 54th out of 200 plus entries. Brilliant stuff.

Awesome. That's the way we enjoy ours. It's 200 miles round trip to the drag strip, another 100 to the next closest one. We drive the cars and race them frequently like that. Sometimes as far as 600+ round trips to race and drive home long before they came up with drag and drive events. Been doing that since the 80's.

Funny how it becomes a thing now but hey if it's getting more people out to the dragstrips I'm all for it.

Wow! SW46 checking in here.. Feels a little weird seeing our little UK event on the big ol' Pontiac board. Yeah it was a great time!

I'm a northerner so had to drive down south for the start. 867 miles in the old bird and she didn't miss a beat. And I broke into the 12s for the first time!

The weather was ****e but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. The roads through Lincolnshire were something else. Great times. Met some great folks. Great memories!

If you scroll down to "manage attachments" then click on "choose file" you can select a pic from your device. Once selected then just click on upload. It will tell you if the pic is too big to upload
