Solstice guys (& gals)
My '95 Bird is a great car, super clean, spunky & reliable but at 170 hp, there is room for more driving excitement. There is nothing minimally invasive that you can do for the 3.4 litre. And I don't need a late T/A right now.
This got me to thinking.
Perhaps I should be looking for a Solstice & would love to hear from ya'll.
It looks like 10K can buy a pretty decent one? Will it hold it's own on the road?
Thanks.

You can see in my signature my Son And I have 2 -68 convertibles. Wife never complained but we bought her a 2007 Solstice GXP so she could have a drop top too. 2.0 w/ turbo, 5 speed w/od and 3.73's. Will run high 13's/low 14's with stock tune, gets good gas mileage and drives like a slot car. Tight fit for me (6'4' 300) but I manage. My son and I drive it as often as we can. Ton's of fun. Light car, 260 -300hp depending on tunes. Triple black looks pretty tough IMO.
Good candidate for an LS swap down the road...lol

Had this 07 since new... Every time I drive it it brings me back to my Kart racing days!!! Has been very reliable and fun ride but VERY room luggage limited if trips are planned!! I really feel that The Solstice is under valued and a great deal for the current $$$$$...

And if you don't go the GXP route you can do what I did and go this route if you lack the power you want (DDM Works Supercharger) and never look back!!! I would love LS power but bang for the buck, this is it!!!

I was the original owner of Car #376 of the first 1000. Very cool little cars and tons of fun. I wouldn't mind picking one up again.

We picked up an 08 GXP with the auto trans. Drives like an economy car until you put the boot to it. Yahoo! You will need to get used to how quickly it responds to steering input. Like a go cart as has been mentioned.
Drove it 400 miles home, almost all highway and it was very comfortable.
Low mileage units like the one we picked up are out there if you are willing to look and drive.
They get a lot of attention on the road.
