So I played with this a little this morning and this is the best I can come up with. You could do it one of 2 ways. Pump in left is original style 70-71 on right is 72 pump with altered fittings. I知 sure it will work fine without altering the 70-71 hose arrangement on the car.

What ever became of this? Was the backordered Spectra SP1304MP from Summit Racing the correct 70-71 large can fuel pump that matches the "stock photo."

so what are these worth? I bought these back in 1980 from the dealership. I bought 10 of them and used 4 or 5 of them on engines I built. I have 5 or 6 left. I wander if they are still good after all these years.

probably good to have, but the ethanol in most fuels these days is doing in these older pumps in short order... at least that's how it reads.

I am lucky, I live in an area where ethanol-free gas is easy to get.
