Is it possible to put a Pontiac 455HO in an 80's TA or an 80's Camaro? If so how well would it work? ever seen it?

Umm, yep... what year of 80's? My 400 (same block) still has plans for my 87.

So let me get this straight:
Your Honda has 1.6 liters and my bottle of Mountain Dew has 2?

80-81 is a direct bolt in!

Usually I'm found working on my Pontiac. If you want to find me Look for the white picket fence and all the old Pontiacs parked outside. And the half dissembled engine sprawled all over the driveway!

For 82-92, Indian Adventures has the mounts and headers available.

Mine is going in a Camaro... Someday. Mine is getting a lot more expensive than I thought. You do or will have subframe connectors right?

Here is a good site for 82-92

www.thirdgen.com

Go to message boards, engine swap, and then do a search

Hey Dick Duclow, I brought up Indian Adventures on this board many moons ago and now it seems everyone is referring to it. Have you sold many?

Bob, yes i have subframe connectors that came with my 1978 trans am. The whole chasis on the trans am is rotted to **** thats why i want to put the engine in a 82-92 trans am, firebird, or camaro. I like the camaro the best out of that gen though. I think it would be bad ass with a 455. would i need anything else to make it work?

Not sure that the subframe connectors for the 78 will work. I ordered mine for the 82-92. Look for a car that came stock with a V8. Avoid hassles with the weight on 6 cylinder front springs. Try to get complete donor car with the 455 (if you dont have the engine already). You will need everything, pullys, brackets... everything. On a hard start with good traction you very well may grenade that stock rear end, another upgrade to keep in mind. Wish I was more help but mine is a slow process. Need to get with 3rdgen455, he would be the one to ask.
