It thought it was Pypes that was interested. Regardless of who is interested in picking up the project, there is definitely a demand for them. I myself would like to order a set, but not through the current designer/builder.

Ron Watt sold a few sets a few years ago and got everybody all primed up with some nice pictures and stuff. Then he got a big order together and basically stole $700 from about 12-15 people. It has been two and a half years since I sent him my $700. There are those that still believe we will eventually get headers. I don't particulary believe that though.

With current trend of pro-touring/g-machine and the increased popularity of the 2nd gen F-body, the tri-Y header is a no brainer.
Proven performance and ground clearance, the best of both worlds.

i got one of these sets of tri-y's from ron. actually i believe i recieved one of the last sets from that run. fit is fantastic and awesome ground clearance. only thing that sucks is that ron disappeared so im pretty much out of luck with this "lifetime" warranty ceramic coating thats rusting off.

Thats to bad that never got going, I really wanted a set. I wonder if there is any way to sell those in a kit that you could weld yourself? Might be kind of hard though with out some sort of jig.

How much demand is there for Tri-Ys?? If I were to make them again, I would need some qty orders to start. I need to commit to 100 sets to start. And Since a lot of the newbies don't know me, we could set up an escrow acct for the deposits. They would be made exactly as My originals. 1-3/4" primaries, 2-1/8"(??) secondaries,2-1/2" no flange collectors. Fitment is round port 64-77 A bodies,75-77 X bodies, 69-77 GP and 70-81 F bodies. Please-no discussion about tube size-length-etc. There are a zillion posts in the archives on this subject.

Default ken is a stand up guy!!!

ken, funny i just called you the other day about these!i would order a set from you but i just commited to a forum member for a set he is not going to use. ron made them, uncoated.you were very informative and very helpful! you are a valuable asset to the hobby.dont tell anyone, im actually a mopar guy! i like them all ,actually. i will have to say, this is by far this best forum i have seen on the web for any brand!honestly. im a newbie to the pontiac crowd but, from talking to you the other day on the phone, i would have no problem trusting you with any business matter, your character stands out! you are very well established in this hobby. i may not be signing up for a set of headers, but you will see a purchase from me soon for something because you took the time to give your advise ,free of charge! very refreshing for a change! thank you! ill get down now! haha!

Why not, I'll take a set as well. Just to confirm, these are for round port only? No D-ports? These will go great with my E-heads.

Thumbs up Just a sample of what you'll be getting.....

.....however the ceramic coating and 3-bolt flanges were added on later by the owner and were not part of the headers as delivered by H-O Racing.

I'm moving this to the Exhaust forum, and making it a 'sticky' so those who are interested in the Tri-Ys can find this thread easily.

what are the performance characteristics of this design? more power for certain combos? i mainly bought them for the ground clearance as i was tired of flattening the tubes on my HSCs.

If Ken says it can happen it will happen. Ken is honest and won't steal your money.

Ken great to see that you might be able get these going again. I was one of the lucky ones that got a set from Ron but when my build plans changed I ended up selling them to another forum member. I've been wondering ever since If I made a mistake selling them as they are unavailable anywhere.

I don't need any right now, but I know if they were in production I'd buy another set sometime.

Just bought a pair of your old ones and would definitely like another set too. So you can count me in for a new set!
Thanks Ken.
