Enjoy the ride. Pursue a hobby. Read The Fountainhead to get re-inspired to pursue some of your ideas.

Thee above was after seeing the Jimmy Buffet link.

So i looked Gene Winfield up, and would have much better response then above. Like get well, and hope justice prevails.

I’m sure the majority of folks who frequent these forums haven’t a clue who Gene Winfield is.

I knew he was 97 and figured perhaps this was bad news.

Gene is sometimes featured on the Motor Trend show, Full Custom Garage, with
Ian Rousell who was mentored by Gene years ago. Many times when he is formulating ideas for a new custom car, he'll seek out Gene to bounce some ideas off of.

Gene is stiil able to work on his own projects, as well as customer cars into his mid 90s. He is an encylopedia of all thing custom cars, past, and present. I think he attributes his longevity to keeping busy in his current shop.

If you watch any of the car shows, he’s guests on some. He was just on full custom showing his art.

A fortune has been made.
A fortune has been lost.

Those folks of The Inner Circle
are looking to profit on a career
that ended a long time ago.

Hence my post.

Jimmy Buffett did an excellent
cover of a song that has true
meaning as we all grow older.

Not a fan but after taking a look, WOW couldn't believe the Sh!t show that has surrounded him.
Lots of drama is mentioned on the Bullet and Instagram. It's really sad, hope it all turns around.

I have an car show magazine. If I remember he built a rod with 4 cyl Tempest engine and rear end out of Tempest. I'll have to look. All those guys amazed me with their metal working skills and ideas.

A friend of mine, Billy Belmont, owned the Jade Idol for a while. One of Gene’s most famous cars. It was wicked cool!
