Well, I have mine on the car and took some pictures before removing them to get them coated. They fit wonderful and I believe a stock starter will still fit. They headers look like they are gonna be our header solution. The only spot I found that was tight was the drivers side collector flange is very close to the floorboard. I spoke with Mark and will be sending him pictures so he can adjust this on the next set. I will say Mark seems to be a GREAT GREAT guy to deal with and I am very happy with the work. I will get pictures up as soon as I can.

Good to hear someone is making headers for REAL G-Body Pontiacs.

ONEFASTLEMANS what are you using for headers for your car?

This is the junk I made. As you can see I am very primitive and have very little skill when it comes to header fab. I really need to get some cash together.

Mike,

What size were the headers that you bought, 1 3/4? Did it look like there would be room to get a band clamp around that slip tube connection? I'm concerned about a leak with running full exhaust but it would be nice to keep the slip fit.

T.D I do not believe your gonna be able to get anything around the pipe there. A regular band clamp might go but isn't going to do much. The ones I have are 1 3/4" tubes. If you aren't worried about having to take the header in and out without jacking the motor up I would take the torch and sweat it with brass. I really think that would be a good way to seal it up. However, Candyman says to put some anti seize on it (which I agree totally with) and slide it together and he has had no leaks.

Looks like too much time on your hands stud. Gotta stop with the driving drunk in bulldozers.

Candys ran today and it don't leak. One slip fit is not a problem.

Get your facts straight. It was a front end loader and i was found not guilty. Now as for having to much time on my hands. Yes I guess I do.

Mike, a few questions.

I see you "adjusted" the rear of the lca mounts with a sawzall , was this needed for the install?

Also the d/s collector seems to be pointed downward, ie not perpedicular to the frame/floor.

Is it or is it just an illusion from the photo angle?

Shotgun, the header collector is pointed downward slightly on the drivers side so there is no illusion there. As far as the LCA, it was trimmed years ago to clear other headers that were "attempted." This will not be necessary with these headers though as there is a good bit of distance between the LCA and the pipes(a couple inches).
