Exclamation Reproduction 78-80 Grand Am turn lens. Gauging intrest.

If anyone has any intrest in a reproduction side marker light (amber and white)
for the 78-79-80 Grand Am, please respond to the poll in the link below, or respond here and I will make a note of it on the forum.
If this dosnt happen now, I doubt it ever will.
Thanks...........

I would be in for 1 pair! I'm in need of a set of headlite bezels also, but see you don't have any listed right now. Any chance you will do more?

Thanks Lyn.

I'll mark your intrest for 1 pair.
I'm working with a company to see if we have enough intrest to have the turn lens made.
The bezels can be rechromed, so I'm not looking into those.
They would probablly be repopped in plastic anyway.

Default How about grill inserts?

I'm in need of some of the verticle, body color inserts that go between the grill opennings in the Grand Am grills. ... Maybe someone has come up with a DIY replacement?
Or,,,,,,,,how about the belt molding plastic retainer clips (the large ones!) that snap onto the small welded metal pins on the car body?

Kent, Guess I didn't scroll down enough on your web page, if you still have a pair of the rechromed headlite bezels I would be interested. Let me know.

Thanks Lyn.

Doug, Are you looking for these clips?
http://www.gmclassicparts.com/LOWER-...-_p_40051.html

I have some of those in my stash.
The grill deviders should be easy to make. There are 2 different designs, a left and a right. Not sure why they did that, but if you have 1 out from each side, take a good look at the locking tabs on the back. How many of these do you need?

Lyn,
The bezels I had rechromed ended up being pretty expensive. There was a misunderstanding with the shop and they rechromed the front and the back of the bezel.
I'm in the process of redesigning my site so all of my parts have been removed.

To be clear, I'm just a guy that collects these cars and parts, not a bussiness.
As far as the side maker lights, I'm not even a middle man. I'm just trying to get these made for everyone. If we get enough intrest, maybe the park lights and bezels could be reproduced later..I'm sure the bezels would end up being plastic if they were made.

Kent,
The plastic clips I,m talking about are the large ones that hold the trim pieces that tie in with the wheel well moldings as well as the front and rear bumper covers.

I'll have to get back with you on the body color grill peices, the grills are buried out in my shop right now.

Did you ever get the chance to check the rear wheel well moldings against your friends El Camino?

Doug

I'm not sure if I have any those clips in good condition. Will the flat clips shown above work on the ends as well?
The wagon trim looks to fit perfectly. You just need to reverse Left and Right on each 1/4.

Doug,
I've only got 1 good pair of the wagon mouldings.
I'd like to keep them for the same type project. Someone local, who is restoring one of my old 4 speed G/A's is also looking for a set of these.
When I said they look to fit perfecty I meant the size/length.
They obviously won't match the wheel opening that well. I plan on grafting Grand Am 1/4's in the rear though.

That's okay Kent. Thank you anyway!
