Holly crap, this is Fed up. Got me into doing Pontiacs right. Now, anyone know how to get in touch with someone. I was trying to get him to finish my block he had for years the last few months. But in bad health.
He had my splayed cap block. Just needed bored and decked. Also had a cast Eagle 4.25 crank, cut .010-.010 ready to run balanced with Billet RPM rods, Ross Butler pistons, file fit rings, and a raced prepped 455 crank cut and welded to 3" mains.
I will pay someone for their time if they can stick it on a pallet and freight it to me. I have 5-6 thousand in cancelled checks for this stuff. Was going to sell it and buy a IA2.
People keep dying I just talked too. Say a prayer for the family.

There will be a lot of guys @ the funeral on Sat, I will ask around to see if there is anyone in charge of wrapping up the loose ends. There is a local Pontiac guy here, he's pretty sharp & perhaps he could help finish things up for you? Just thinking out loud...

Was fortunate to be able to talk to Dan a few times over the years, in person, and on the phone. He was Clay Phillips engine builder for a long time. He really knew how to make a iron head RA-IV head work on the track. He will be sorely missed by many. RIP Dan Whitmore. You did good!

Sorry you took offense,i don't think others did.

Dan was an awesome guy,and like Tom said had a lot to do with Clay Philips Classical gas,i had even talked with Dan about that car and had seen it at the 94 gto nationals.

Again my apologies too you.

Thanks Gene, forget about it. I had been talking to Dan since 84, hour or two at a time. You know, Tom mentioned his RAIV prowess. He told me about the best he ever did. They went 310 cfm. He did a back to back dyno test for a customer with these heads and a very early set of KRE WPs. They went 366cfm on Dans bench, same as the card from KRE.
I do not remember the exact HP of the build, but it was mid 800. The first run was with the WPs and they ran good. Then switched to his RAIVs. The iron heads had more HP. And the dyno operator said the only way for that to happen was for the heads to have some sort of "ram effect". They did have 127% VE.
He was really proud of those things. Should have been digitized, works of art.
