I didn't notice a photo of the crank. Was yours drilled for a pilot bearing?

Here's a photo of my stamp pad. I'm thinking maybe it denotes a A.I.R. engine for California?

Thanks again.

Check the archives here and in 'Street', I think that by '66 most cranks were set-up for pilot bearings.

What about the 744 and Rhiodes lifters? Would that smooth it out enough to keep from loadiing up the plugs?

Well, it's up and running. Most of the parts in the right places and it sounds pretty sweet. As you can see in the pic it's still winter here and roads aren't suitable for any road testing. I drove it down to the end of the driveway and back thother day. Long driveway, got to peek into the Tri-Power for about 1.7 seconds.

It was good......

Okeydokey.....while the car was here we did a few other things.....

The parts car had a factory tach that worked so I did a cosmetic on it and plugged it in.

Pulled the nasty old tilt column out of the parts car, spiffed it up a bit, and stabbed it in.

The parts car also gave up a power seat. It was a mess but it was all there. A bunch of soak and beat and tweak made it finally come around.

Found the build sheet on top of the gas tank. Can you say "dirt road"?

More to come.....

pictures are fantastic I love what you did with the tach.
Did you have to take the solenoids out of the power seat and regrease them?
Now hurry up and post more pictures.
Love it love it love it

Yes, I had to disassemble everything. Must have been a LONG time since that thing had run. The seat tracks were rusted and stuck. I got them freed up and then went into the electricals. Luckily everything was okay just stuck or stiff from being dormant forever......

Can you tell me from where you sourced your exhaust components? Particularly the pipes. Are they 2.5"? Thanks.

These cars are looking nice!!!

Just got the backhoe guy to dig out my garage yesterday. I"m going to HAVE to get something old out soon!!! Looking at what's going on out there, I got to get more busy in the garage!!

Keep up the good work guys!

BTW, how much to send the carbs out and set up?

I dont' think that exhaust is Pypes, I had to notch my crossmember in the 66 GP to clear the Pypes set.

Danny PIsarcik did my dash wood, he does a great job, 570-823-8983. (Talks like a typical NE PA working man, don't let that scare you though, he's a great guy!!!)
