Default "73/74 SD Cylinder Heads

Does anyone have an idea what a set of '73/4 SD heads might be worth? They are bare heads.

I haven't looked at that. I know that they are "16" heads. Why would the casting date matter? (for my info)

Probably for the purist who wants/needs a correct date set of heads to build their numbers matching car.

Unmodified, no porting? They'd be worth more to restorer.

Yes, they are unmodified/unported. I've had them for years and am thinking about cleaning out my garage, I really hate to do it but I'm getting older. Before the aftermarket started making stuff for Pontiacs; I collected a lot of High performance Pontiac factory parts. Now only the restorers want it.

Cool Purists would look for dates that match their build.

Those that know, like drag racers, might look for the earlier (1972) casting dates because many of those head castings were actually worked by Air Flow Research to get them optimized before they were assembled and installed on engines.

Having matching date codes will help value, obviously.
