Default 64-67 A-Body Firewall Pad Recommendation

Anyone have any experience with the RECENT crop of 64-67 A-body firewall pads? The catalogs always have glowing descriptions but a lot of times, well….not quite what they say.

I bought a pad from OPGI ages ago, and I mean ages, and it was a thick piece of very shiny vinyl. IIRC the originals were a rubber/tar paper like pad with more of a satin sheen and kind of tore easily as they aged.

I know the repops are not going to match OEM but wondering if the current offerings are closer to the originals.

This is the more expensive molded pad from our sponsor for my 68. It's not like original and has some appearance issues as mentioned in the catalog for all 64-72 models, but it went on easily and is much thicker than the non molded version that I have from OPGI

Looks better than the one I had. I'll check the catalog from our sponsor. Thanks for the info.

+2 On the more expensive one from Ames. I just installed that one a few months ago. Pricey but nice.
