courtesy light / ash tray support mounting
Hi all,
I'm trying to get my non-A/C dash back together. The assembly manual shows the courtesy light mounting directly below the vent controls, directly below ashtray. The ashtray mount includes a support bracket that mounts on the dash at the center also. Thus, I assumed that perhaps the courtesy bracket and ash tray mount shared the same mounting screw. However, it appears the ash tray bracket interferes with clearance needed for the courtesy light socket/wires. Does anyone know the details here? A/C dashes have two courtesy lights on either side of the dash, but a non-A/C car has one light in the center. I can't locate another hole that might support the courtesy light, but it seems pretty clear there is not enough clearance for both to share the same mounting. Thanks!
