I'm basically looking to see how the latch works/is laid out in relation to the bumber and valance. It's been so long since my front end was on the car I forget how the latch works/is positioned. So since your front end is off any pic probably wouldn't show much. I'll be using a 69 T/A hood and am thinking of installing a latch to match. Also looking at possibly moding the valance. But need to see how things were originally before I make any decissions. Got a lead on a guy who owns a cab company here in town that has a bunch of 67's in various stages of restoration. Hope it works out and I can look at one up close and personal. Thanks.

this might be a good opportunity to convert it to a cable release for theft deterrent

I can try for some pics in the morning when I get home. My grill is out, so I can probably get some decent shots.

In the meantime, try this:
http://thefirstgensite.com/html/F67svcmanual.htm

Go to section 11, chassis sheet metal. Figure 11-3 is the latch setup. It's what I had to use when I pulled my latch parts out of a box with absolutely ZERO recollection of how it came apart.

May look into this option. Look around for others who have switched to cable release.

Here are some that I found of my tear down. I may have more if you need them. Not sure if there are any differences from 67 to 68.
