Default Oil pressure fluctuations

I just pulled my GP out of the garage since it is starting to warm up. When I took it for a drive I noticed that at ~3000 RPMs and above my oil pressure starts to fluctuate. It will bounce between 40-70 lbs. Below 3000 the pressure is rock solid without any movement.
The oil is topped off and there is no associated sound to indicate an issue. Anyone have an issue similar to this? The engine has <5000 miles on it.

Thanks,
Justin

I would change the oil and filter and verify the gauge is correct.

sounds like your sending unit might be going bad.
