Default Splitter tips on Pypes SGF70 x-pipe exhaust for 68 firebird

Hi,

Price dropped on SGF70 x-pipe system so I bought it last night for my 68 firebird convertible.

I know it's not factory, but I love splitters. I think the repro ones from ames won't work because of the 2.5" exhaust, Has anyone fit the pypes 2.5" (EVT10) exhaust splitters for the 76+ TA onto their first gen with the SGF70?

https://www.pypesexhaust.com/product...plitters-evt10

Thanks!

Stan

It took some work but I did on my Flowmaster 17104 system. See my install here. https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=423873

It took a bit of work to get the angles and length right so they sat right and a trip to the local muffler shop to expand the tail pipe (where the weld is) so I could slip it together.

I installed a 3" mandrel exhaust system on my wife's 68 Firebird. It took alot of cutting and fitting to install the 3" dual exhaust tips on the car, but they sure looked nice when done.
