Ant tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid if I strip w/ chemicals they'll never come out of the rubber. What goes in the paint and or primer so it'll flex?

In my opinion, don't waist your time or money doing that project yourself. It is well worth sending your wheels out to a company like Keystone, that does a fantastic job refinishing them. They actually turn the front face down on a lathe, for virgin material. The wheels that I had done are better than original, and the turn-around time was only a few days. I spent around $550., and it was worth every cent. Ken

I re-read your question on honeycombs, and think I comented on wheels, rather than a bumper. Sorry and disregard if so! Ken

Ken, the Honeycomb wheels had the design molded in rubber onto a steel rim.
