quick question- I have a 73 Grand Am 4 speed. where the clutch pedal rod comes thru firewall and gets attached to the Z bar, should there be a bushing there in the Z bar hole? the end of clutch pedal rod is loose in the hole in Z bar. it appears I'm missing a plastic bushing so that when rod goes into hole of Z bar, it's a snug fit. I see nothing listed for this bushing. If there is a bushing which I believe there is, do you know where I can get one? thanks. Pete

have you had the rod off of the bar yet? i'll bet one or the other is worn.
if not you may be able to use a door bushing to space up the difference. i've done this before to repair worn zbars. if the rod's worn you should be able to weld it up and carefully grind it down to the correct dimension. hope this helps, mike
