I was looking and hoping for them a few years ago also. I stopped holding my breath for them and bit the bullet to ship my dash to Just Dashes.

It was hard letting that $700.00(five years ago) go. It did look better than new. Worth the investment if you are building a keeper..

The dash inserts are basically done. However, the process is very tedious and the reject rate is very high. Therefore, the availability will most likely be spotty for a while. The inserts will be available with an insert kit that includes all the bezels and the small inserts. It would be best to get a request in to reserve one.

The gold version has still not been figured out.

I'm not sure that is part of the accessory kit or not. We still havent' seen the complete accessory kit yet.

Question

Any new updates on this as far as availability, also how much are these going to cost. I would like to get one reserved for my 78 Trans Am as soon as possible.

Thanks

Hey Guys,
I just talked to the manufacturer of these dash inserts and this is the latest on them: They have gotten a small run of these in and they are having quality issues with them, not all of them but some. Right now they currently have some 78-79 ones available to ship for $349.00. Call or e-mail us if anyone is interested. Please have the following info. ready if you order : 1.Year of car, 2. A/C?, 3. Power options?, 4. Location of firebird emblem(1 1/2" or 3 1/2") from the edge. They do have some 2nd quality ones available. 2nd quality meaning the actual swirls are upside down. They say they are really nice otherwise. Please call or e-mail us if anyone is interested and we will find out cost and availablity. Otherwise for all other years and applications they are not expecting anything new until summer of this year.

Perhaps some high quality pictures of the dash inserts would persuade some of us to part with our moldy money !!

Yes, Pics, pics pics. I will need at least 2. One for a 77 w/a/c. And one for a 79 w/a/c. I'll have to look at mine as soon as they come out of the paint shop as far as measuring anything. Thanks, David T
