Question

Are fullsize catalogs in the works, or unlikely to happen at all?

Thanks.

Hi lhicks
From what I hear, a new fullsize catalog is fairly unlikely.

I am very proud and pleased with your service and quality, but it seems as though big cars are just not popular any more. I went to norwalk..1 66gp on the track..couple later gps...but now no new catalogs....only a hand full maybe of big cars at the show...dozens of "show " firehawks..fieros ..newer birds...am i obsolete even to the suppilers of obsolete parts??

Hi Guys
Unfortunately the Fullsize Pontiacs are getting less and less common and manufacturers aren't often reproducing new products specific to these cars.

We no longer have a Fullsize catalog available but we still carry or can order products for the Fullsize cars. Have a look at our online catalog or call for what we have available.

If you've requested a GTO/Tempest/Lemans or Firebird/TA catalog and live in the US but haven't received it yet, let me know. I should be able to figure out what's going on.

Are you saying that your business for full size Pontiac parts is decreasing?

I ask the same question as Jerry. Just an observation, but it's getting to the point where there isn't much that isn't being re-popped for A-Bodies, and
F-bodies, whereas the addition of new parts for B-Body owners is nothing compared to A and F bodies. I think there are more GTO's on the street than were actually made due to all the new parts.

Maybe I'm a bit jealous of the fact that us guys that are restoring B-Bodies have to do more work, track down more used parts, and have more parts restored or reconditioned than the A and F body car owners. I'm sure it's a simple case of economics. The demand just isn't as great. I guess I'm thankful for what is available.

However, I don't understand why PY would stop printing the Fullsize Catalog ,that's lame. I know Ames still prints one...guess I know who I'll be placing my next order with.

DM_Fan is our webmaster, not the Pontiac answer man.

Fullsize Pontiacs have never achieved anywhere near the popularity, notoriety and value as the GTOs and Firebirds. Therefore most owners are not willing to spend as much money to restore these cars because most of them are not worth as much. To complicate matters, Pontiac made separate interiors, chrome, trim etc for different models in the same year. A 66 Bonneville rocker molding is different than a GP rocker molding which is again different than a Catalina. Here's another problem....Any part you consider reproducing for the big cars is....guess what?......BIGGER! That means more expensive tooling costs and more expensive parts.

To control costs, we have eliminated a hard copy printing of the Fullsize Pontiac catalog. Since you are reading this, you have the ability to look at every page, download it or print it out. I hope this helps clarify things for you big car owners.

What does the cover of the most recent Tempest/GTO catalog look like? I want to make sure I have the current one.
