Default Disc Conversion Recipe

Assuming you have the Scarebird adapter plate kit you need:

2 1977-79 Cadillac Seville Rear rotors NAPA 85776
One Pair 1970-76 Firebird Calipers NAPA 242-2004/2005
One Set 1970- 81 Firebird front brake pads NAPA AE728AM
4 1970 - 1981 Firebird front caliper bolts NAPA 82203

15" wheels. The instructions don't tell you that. If you had 14s, they won't won't fit anymore.

John here are the photos.
Raybestos master cyl #MC36361
Proportion valve SUM-G3905
I made my own lines out of pre-flaired 1/4" tubing and couplings. I dented the inner fender in so they would fit nicely.

Let me know if you of anybody else needs any additional photos. I can only comment on my set up. Any tech questions should be sent to Scarebird.

John,
I mounted the adjustable proportion valve under the master and put the metering block where the junction block was.
Did you get a combination valve (proportion and metering block in one unit) with the kit or an adjustable unit like I have?

In the 1st picture how the lines exit to the left side of the car, my kit you can have those lines exit either the left or right side. You take plugs and block one side and use the other. I believe i have a combination valve. My mechanic is in late today when he arrives i will head over to take a picture.. I know I am explaining it badly.

This is great information. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Another question... are there any options for bigger brake kits? I anticipate going to a 17" wheel on my Cat (similar to what I have on my GTO) which would allow for much larger diameter brake discs if there is a kit for that. If I follow this process, do you think a big brake kit upgrade for a 77-79 Seville would work (since those are where the rotors are coming from?

Also, is there a rear disc upgrade?

Guys, the design has been improved to use 1977 Bonneville wagon rotors and calipers. These are a unicast rotor, 11-7/8" in diameter. Require 71 or newer 15" rims to clear.
