Looking good! You getting excited?

Did you channel it slightly over the frame, or is that the way Pontiac built it? [Or am I just not seeing it right?]

Perhaps Jack would be so kind to let you borrow a Pontiac Hemi?

The "Sprint" cammer six he's got in there is the perfect engine for it!

No, I wasn't at the Glen. My only visit there this year will be for the "Vintage Festival" in September. I promised one of the organizers that I'd display and run the hemi V8 at the rod show- probably Saturday the 12th. Any chance you could display the coupe? The guy who "recruited" me is Jeff Stowell from Newark- I'm sure he'd love to see your car there.

I agree. But you'd let him "borrow" a Hemi Poncho for him just to change it for shows and Rodding around, right?

GTOWAGON: Check out the Sept 2015 Hemmings Muscle Machines "Backfire" reader letters titled "OHC Inquiry" you may be interested and want to (I suggest you do) submit photos of your OHC Hot Rod in reply.

FWIW - love your car the way it is and your unique touches to the OHC 6 put it over the top IMO. Thx for keeping us posted.

I'll be talking with Jeff soon- I'll mention that you'd like to display your car during the vintage festival, and I'll get back to you.

I had left Jeff a message, asking which day of the Vintage Festival weekend he wanted me to display the hemi. He left a message back, that the show will be Friday 9/11/15, starting around noon-ish. I still need to ask about you bringing the coupe. Can you make it on a Friday?
[I received your PM. Thanks]

Looks great. Couple of Q's:

1. What frame are you using, modded original, your creation, other?

2. Are the front brakes hidden disc brakes under the factory appearing drums?

Very much looking forward to the painted body installed.

The frame rails are the original the x and rear crossmember were fabbed the front crossmember is from a 32 ford. The front brakes are real 59 Buick drums with Wilson welding backing plates and hubs I hate fake brakes

Was going to add - betcha you're already VERY spoiled working on that hot rod w exposed engine & frame access vs. full-Fendered cars & trucks?
