Yep his name is Chris White. He wouldn't program my cluster because I had it zeroed out. Said it was tampering with the mileage. I showed him pics of my build with a frame off everything brand new restoration going in a 69 firebird and not in a 2004 GTO and still wouldn't program the cluster. He was Mr. High and Mighty in my opinion so nothing was lost by me.

Not sure if you can program it in car, as I dont know how you have everything working, but there is a thread about this on ls1gto.com that you can do it yourself.

http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=517098

With your DIY ability im sure you could save some money and make the cable yourself or just fork over $50 and buy one.

Cheers,
Onyx

Any recent updates on the car? Do you still have it,
I'm thinking something similar for a coup. Just curious how it's holding up

Yes, I have still have the car and am enjoying more and more. I was a long hauler on the 2013 hot Rod Power Tour last June and met up with three other Trans Am owners in Little Rock. Hot Rod Magazine heard about us parked together and did a photo shoot of our cars. Not very often that you see a 69, 79, 89, and 99 Trans Ams parked together. We even made the November issue.

Current improvements were replacing the corporate 10 bolt with a 12 bolt rear from Moser in anticipation of additional power increases in the future and replacing the electralife power window motors to power window motors from NuRelic. USA made and much more robust system. This winter I'm going to replace the exhaust with a 2 1/2 inch Pypes transverse muffler with two resonator mufflers to quiet the exhaust down without causing too much restriction. I have also signed up for the 2014 Power Tour. The route is from Charlotte, NC to Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, starting June 6 of this year. So as the old saying goes.... They are never finished and you gotta drive em.

I've got that issue just haven't looked through it yet, I've saved a lot of your pics for future reference. If you don't mind I'd like to pm a question or two from time to time.
