06 GTO ENGINE TO A 65 GTO
Does anyone have any information or experience in trying to put a 2006 GTO engine and manual transmission in a 65 GTO? is it doable and what modifications have to be made?

Wish I had more pics of this car. Has a complete changeover including the dash, seats, everything. Was at Steve Barcaks PBO Fall Fest last year. He may have more info on it. Sorry for the lousy pic. I resized it up from a thumbnail. Not a 65 but close!!

I believe this guy lives in tucson, He had it out at the hooters car show about 6 mo. ago, looked like a really clean job, but I have not seen it around since.

That car was on the Power Tour this year. There is a picture of it in the October 2010 Hot Rod Magazine with the Power Tour pictures. It says, "......a 64 GTO vert skin wrapped around a complete 06 GTO chassis that included the complete interior, even with airbags."
I'm guessing that's more than Bob D had in mind though....
