I have to admit to bolting both a Cleveland block and a 460 block into a '76 Trans Am ages ago. We were cleaning the engine compartment getting it ready for paint and, being a Ford guy, my friends were astonished I had a Pontiac in the garage. After a few frosty beverages we jokingly tried to bolt them in using Ford saddle type motor mounts. They both fit. With rear sump pans they would have looked right at home in the T/A chassis. Both sat down in the car and cleared nicely.
Afterwards, we laughed about it and went back to working on the car. Don't panic though....it received a nice 428 Pontiac engine once it was ready. Damn that was 20 years ago.
