I agree Greg, I don't like to bad mouth someone's interpretation of a restoration so I don't jump on that bandwagon. However when it comes to the asking prices on a car like this, sometimes the sellers do need to come down to reality.
On a brighter note at least it's a real GTO. Personally red doesn't do much for me, I see too much of it already. I would have liked to see this one in it's original colors, not afraid to be different. |

Now if this same car was listed for $15k I don't think we would really even be talking about it, just another hack restoration that needs fixing.

I feel bad for the car the way it's slap-dicked together

As owners it's very easy to develop an empathy for the car. Do that sh*t to a 80's Crown Vic or something, not a GTO.

I'm with Greg, you guys are a bit harsh on the car. Yeah, his asking price is stupid high, but the car itself isn't that bad. Sure it's got some details that are of questionable taste, but those are easily remedied. I've certainly seen a lot worse!

Right. It's the insane price that's mainly feeding all of these comments I think. Yeah, it needs help but it's not quite ready for the crusher I don't think.

Color code '63 F' and '252' Trim.... Champagne with a Fawn vinyl top and Gold interior. Interesting. I'll bet it was quite striking when new.

If it don't sell soon, maybe we will see Judge stripes and stickers on it in a couple weeks.

To me, anyway, it looks like a hideaway car, with the hideaway's open.

Nah, I think they're fixed, missing the bezels. Look closely at the passenger side light.

Looks like to me the bezels are there. He painted them black. Chrome and all.

Some of the headlight bezel is actually supposed to be painted black. Tail lights are the same way. It was almost a shame to rechrome these on my fathers car when only a small portion of chrome actually shows, most of it gets the black out treatment.
I can't tell from that photo at all, just not clear enough. I can't tell if the outer chrome trim is just missing, or if the bezel simply isn't there at all, or..... |

May be right about them being painted...point is, they don't appear to be non-functional hideaways.
