Question Carmine color paint or dye?

I bought a can of SEM 15063 Burgundy and that is way too dark, almost black! Then I tried SEM 15113 Firethorn Red and that is like a flat red and too light. Now it's starting to get expensive to test, and there are two more possibilities!
15273 Napa Red and 15463 Gloss Cabernet.

Has anyone here had experience with trying to dye/paint their plastic and vinyl to somewhat match a Carmine interior? And what did you use?

Below is a color sample. The "T" is the Carmine vinyl and the lower left patch is Burgundy and the other is Firethorn.

Use the sample and get your own matched up and mixed, assuming no one has an answer

I had dye and paint mixed up at a local automotive paint store, the dye is a diff formula. They told me, dye for the soft stuff, metal and hard plastic - paint.
SEM is usually wrong, go to an automotive paint store and get it mixed up off your code

Vinyl Pro will custom mix a SEM vinyl dye for you. Just send them a small sample to match. Worked well for me.

None of these are dyes, still coatings.

Arrow SEM Formula 1656

Thank you all for the replies. I just called SEM and 'Dave' told me that Carmine is a custom mix formula 1656.

He also gave me two references of where to get it, one being somewhat local (65 mi away) and the other being Vinyl Pro in Atlanta.

It is a paint coating, not a dye. But a coating is what I am really looking for so I can use it on plastic sail panels and the top of the vinyl rear seat mainly.

Understood and agree...just using the terminology on the Vinyl Pro site.
