got a grommet from Shiftworks that appears to mount in the factory hole. Pics to follow when I have time to try it out.

look on their website at cable C100 for LeMans shifter conversion.

Just replaced the cable and grommet. The grommet does not align to the existing holes, only two holes align up. Cable fit spot on. I have a metal grommet ring the original, but you would have to fabricate a new rubber part. Sure is nice to have the shifter work correctly, also replaced the neutral start switch now the car starts in neutral .

So, I have a question. The shop doing my interior has already installed the carpet and seats, and they have not addressed the console, cable, (dual Gate) or anything else yet. However, is this supposed to be done before the carpet is installed? If so, I'm miffed, because they are always going back over what they have already charged for and charging me again to correct mistakes. Grrrrrr.... Mike

if they cut the carpet correctly it wouldnt be a problem,
Or they can just cut it out around the hole

put the 3 hole shiftworks grommet in and it works
not very sturdy but at least it has a retainer with it.
Caulking is a must to seal it underside.

Wonderful, something I'm sure they did not do, since they asked me where the hole was located.

Thanks for the info... Mike
