Keep us up on the progress,really enjoying it!
There are three screws on the inside of the post cover where the vent window meets the windshield post if you get my drift. Also, on my convertible the chrome trim at the top on each corner had to come off (IIRC). I had to do a little prying to get the covers freed up
I can check tomorrow afternoon and see if anything else needs to come off.

I looked at mine this afternoon. It had six holes in it. Three were recessed and three were not. Does yours have a piece of weatherstripping or trim on it? If so, the screws would be behind it.

I bought the paint at the last Moultrie Swap meet. I will check tomorrow to see what brand it is and get back to you.

If you want an alternative to paint the exhaust manifolds, use used motor oil. I have heard this being done before by others. Just coat them with oil and then let the car run. It will burn off the oil and leave a nice patina on the manifolds with no more rust. Kinda looks like paint but it'snot. My oil leak did it for me on the right side manifold and it looks kinda nice. Easier than paint too. LOL

I know this is starting to sound like a broken record but here goes. Still another week passes and very little accomplished. I pulled the plugs and used some Stabil fogging oil to spray in the cylinders.
Also, I took the Alternator apart, cleaned and painted it.
Labor is now at 141 hours= $2820
Parts= $4103.87
total= $6923.87

Rerun #3. Did not get a chance to do anything to the car this week. I am waiting on some parts that were promised to me several weeks ago but, I don't think I am going to get them. I will try to contact the seller again tomorrow.

I guess we all share a common issue. I thought it was just me.

I promise I am going to do something to the car this week if it kills me! I had to go out of town this weekend and also next weekend. Then, the following weekend is Mother's Day so I will have to take my wife to visit her mother. Another weekend shot!

Well, I finally got to do a little something to the car today. I rebuilt the rear brakes. I know that doesn't sound like much to many of you, but, to me it was a good 4 hour job. That's because the rear brake hardware was in a pile in the corner of my shop. I cleaned all the parts. Then I wire wheeled them, except for the color coded pieces. Finally, I reassembled them with new shoes. I am just thankful that I was smart enough to take several pictures from different angles before I took everything apart. It really helped putting them back together.
And, I may have some good news to report. I had to go out of town yesterday and while I was gone a buddy called me on my cell to tell me that he had found a 67 GTO convertible parts car. He was breaking up a little bit but I swore he said the car could be bought for $500! I will find out tomorrow morning.
Also, My body man said as soon as I got the panels for the car he was ready for me to bring it to him.
So, if the parts car works out I may start making some good headway soon.
Anyway, here are the updated totals:
Labor is now 145 hours= $2900
Parts = $4103.87
Total= $7003.87

I am going to check out the donor car saturday morning on the way to my Ma-in Law's house.
I have worked on the engine accessories two hours each night so far this week. Here's a pic of how things look. I loosely bolted them onto the motor to get them out of the way and to keep from loosing any attaching hardware. I will update on my time Sunday.
