Yes and no on my interior. The seats have been resprayed and foam was shot. Being a car from Florida it had a mildew smell the wouldn't go away. There was like 10lbs of sand in each kick panel pocket. I had my dash done by Just Dashes. I'm very happy with the results. Working the bugs out of the electrical . Headliner next before finishing the interior. Planning on driving in around the neighborhood this weekend . To test brakes, shifting and etc. Ames sells a 2 voice coil speaker that fits tight in the rear seat location. I think I need to go to a caraholic class. (Lol)

My PHS Window sticker. I finally have a running and driving car. My car idles like it has a Very Hot cam in it. Would that be normal for a H.O. motor? Motor runs great! Also love the way this car feels on the road.

What is a adaptor-speedo gear? It's on my window sticker?

It's exactly what is says, an adapter that went on the speedometer gear at the transmission which was required with the steep rear gear you have. An automatic 2+2 would have come standard with probably a 3.23 gear.

BTW, wonder why they missed the Turbo Hydamatic transmission on your window sticker. Or did I miss it?

This is my dream car! I hunted for one for several years to replace the one I restored back in the 80's and couldn't find anything I wanted. I found some nice 4 speed cars, but no automatics. Finally settled for a 65 GP, but it is no 2+2. I you get tired of having fun with it I'd love to have a shot at it.

Your build sheet shows N30-Deluxe Steering Wheel. I assume that is for the wood wheel. Looks like they missed it on your window sticker too. Did you get it from PHS?

Yes I did get it from PHS. I did ask about those 2 items? Also with special gears was that extra? Or just came with the Saf-T-Track with no extra cost?

Update. P.H.S. responded back on my window sticker. The deluxe steering wheel came standard on all 2+2. The TH 400 trans. was a option and he will be redoing my window sticker. Thank you (Jerry H. ) for pointing that out! Another question? A H.O. car that came with the gauged dash. Would it of had a 60 or 80 psi oil gauge?

Can't remember about the oil gauge, BUT, evidently a 'deluxe' steering wheel is NOT a 'wood wheel.' I've owned 2 2+2's back in the 80's, neither with a wood wheel. That said, I would say that the wood wheel has been added somewhere down the line on your car. No harm, no foul. At least someone didn't try to pass off a cheap, Grant 'Mustang' wood wheel as an original!

Been driving my car around. Working out the bugs. Put the hood back on and adjusted the headlights last night.

Too funny. Glad you noticed that. She broke out her throw away camera. Plan on getting the headliner done. Then I can finish the interior. More pictures to come.

The 80 PSI gauge didn't appear until 1967. Our '65 2+2 has the 60 pound gauge. The higher pressure sending units are everywhere and relatively cheap, the 60 pound sending unit is pricy.

Beautiful job. Just wanted to point out though that if you run that speaker with the factory radio, you will burn up the radio. Must be 10 ohm speaker with factory radio.

I agree with you on the radio. I mounted a modern stereo in the glove box.

Got my updated window sticker. I was surprised to see the cost of the TH400 transmission. Almost the same price as the H.O. motor. Wonder what a M20 4 speed cost?
