Default 1973 Formula 350 Garage Find

Well I had an eventful weekend. I left work early on Friday to check out a 1977 trans am which I ended up passing on only to wake up to a phone call from a good friend whose neighbor was 'finally ready to sell' his firebird. The neighbor saw my 1970 firebird in the driveway when I visited a couple weeks ago and I guess that sparked it.

The car was purchased in May of 1988 and was disassembled shortly after purchase. Original motor and transmission along with the bucket seats are long gone but most of the parts are there in restorable shape The body is very solid as the car came from the southwest with great cowl and floors. Paint code is 26 so I believe that is either Lucerne or Regatta Blue with black interior. Hopefully I get some time this week to clean it up and make a decision of what I want to do with it.

Two best friends bought the car the year they graduated high school. To them it was a cheap hot rod they wanted to fix up and drop an olds 455 in. They took it apart and started stripping the paint and got distracted with life and other interests.

Nice project! AC car too. curious if you will PHS this car? I have found that a lot more cars in 73 had D98 than I had thought, and on base and Esprit cars too. Cowl tag there? this an early or late car? ( one piece headliner)

He posted the trim tag. Were you looking for something else?

I wasn't planning on getting the PHS for this one. From the vin and cowl tag you can tell it's a Formula 350. I'll get more pictures this week when I get it cleaned up.

I pulled the carpet and back seat out last night. Floors are perfect and still have the blue overspray. I also pulled the back seat looking for paperwork. Passenger side door card is next!

Thats the bad part about these 70-73 Norwood built cars , they didn't put/hide Buildsheets in them anywhere.

Seems like i did find it in the 74 Bird i had a long time ago. iirc

Congrats on acquiring the 73
Did it have standard or deluxe interior ?
