Default Keith Seymore in Muscle Car Review

It's such an iconic car, but the back story is what makes it all the more amazing. I've read the story a few times before, but it always impresses, and Keith tells it so well. One of a kind for sure.

Thank you !

Bill was responsible for hooking me up with the photographer, Al Rogers, and so gets some of the credit.

Wow, truly amazing. My 69 FB Sprint was purchased by my father and driven mostly by my mother for most of its early life. But it certainly wasn't parked and kept in a garage like this GTO. It's good that you continue to enjoy it and drive on occasion. I would be tempted to take it to the track, at least once, and run that 1/4 mile one more time.

Thanks for sharing it with us Keith!

Very cool. Loved reading it.

What are your thoughts about the single chamber master cylinder and safety? Interested to hear your take on that.

Love the car.

A couple of years ago I was in Keith's garage next to his GTO but I've still never seen it. As luck would have it there was a storm followed by a power outage so his garage was dark and I could not see the car that was right in front of me.

I borrowed a set of slicks a few years back and made some easy 12.40 passes. It still runs really well...

Thank you. That's the original m/c so it will be staying on there as long as possible.

The single pot is definitely a problem on a car that sees many street miles - so much so that I switched to a '67 Bonne dual pot on the Grand Prix (that's a long story for another day).

Truth be told, between compression and rear gear, there is enough engine braking that you don't really use the brakes much on the GTO. I shouldn't even tell this story - but - I drove my son Joseph to a baseball game one time and didn't even notice until we got there that there was no fluid in the master cylinder. I topped it off and drove it home and never broke a sweat.

Now - the Grand Prix, on the other hand - there was some "sweat" involved when the brakes went out on it....

I stopped by the bookstore this morning and will have to wait until later this month to get it. All that was on the shelf was December 2016......... January 2017 isn't out yet.
