Default Correct distributor cap

I have an NOS distributor cap with Delco-Remy on top and Patent Pending underneath. It's black in color and supposedly correct for the 1967 GTO but heard it should have an R written somewhere on the cap? Can someone confirm which cap was used in 1967? Thanks.

With regular points-type ignition, the cap was a black Delco-Remy. Who would care if it did or didn't have an "R" on the cap if it's a Delco-Remy? GM used so many of these caps in 1967, there had to be minor differences between them from the factories. Some were black, some were dark brown, but they all were Delco-Remy.
