Haha....for sure not long enough!

He convinced me to buy his front end structure kit (picture attached). Explained that the improvement in chassis torsional stiffness would make a noticeable improvement in the transitions in and out of corners.

Told me that his favorite test track was Waterford in MI.

Told the story (in his seminar) about the lawsuit threatened against Pontiac that killed off their idea of offering the VSE equipment as a factory option.

Told me a driving tip....to look at a track map and decide which is the long straight(s). Then sacrifice the previous corner to get lined up and on the throttle sooner than the guy running the perfect line.

Told him that you said Hi.

Also, somehow I never realized that Herb wrote a book "Chassis Engineering" until my visit with him. I now own a copy.

We had a great time at the 2022 Trans Am Nationals surrounded by great people and beautiful cars. Team Hensler was able to take home a few awards as well. We had the Lucerne Blue 70 Trans Am Concours Judged and won the Gold and was Awarded the Concours Best of Show. Not a bad weekend for our first visit to the show. Thanks to all of the people and staff that put on this event.

As nice as the pics look, this car is even more beautiful in person. Spectacular. Congratulations.

The TA Nat's were really fun...great to see Bentwheel Bob & Dave from sunny WVA, Norwood and LadyTATA from these forums, and the pleasure of concours judging the beautifully restored '70 TA of Joe Hensler and Steve Kemp. Yes, the TA Nat's has the feel like a large local show, but it is fun, and the Tipp City cruise is the highlight, next to the drive from home and back. To me it isn't much different than the GTOAA or POCI Nationals where a majority of the participants are happy with sitting behind their cars all day and don't understand the performance side of the cars/hobby...but, it was fun anyway.
Here are a few pics of the weekend from our perspective.

I hate that I missed the cruise- one of my favorite parts because you usually get to see all the cars attending but not exhibiting.

Absolutely fantastic job on the car - congrats on the well deserved award!
And thanks for bringing it all the way across the country to the show - glad I got to see it.

Herb's son, Matt, is running the company now. They were selling parts thru National Parts Depot but are transitioning to selling direct. His contact info attached.

That’s really cool to see a couple of road race cars. I used to work on some GT1 cars and my brother road raced Nissans . Lots of fun
