455 4 bolt main 4 door hardtop!!!!
Well worth restoring.
455 4 bolt 4 door hardtop, and apparently factory blue. Too rare and desirable to part out.

Someone with deep pockets that really desires this car is more than welcome to restore it.

I had one of them when I worked construction in 1975. It used to haul me a four other big guys from Pittsburgh to Scranton every day and back. Out on 22/30, I use to set the cruise control at 100 lol.. That 455 could crank..

Factory Blue, Big Engine Pontiac 4 door hardtops
When my situation allows, I'm interested in any such desirable combo 4 door hardtops. A blue Bonneville, and or Catalina 455 XF 4 door hardtop is certainly of interest!
Also, the 1967 Canadian Parisian with the 1967 Grand Prix front.

Im going to try to sell the car, maybe it will be worth more if I take it apart, meaning the engine but don't want to really separate air cleaner, carb, heads etc from engine

I understand the economics of spending a ton of money to restore a car that won't be worth much afterwards, even if it's pretty rare. In your pictures it's apparent there's a ton of surface rust, but how is it for actual rusted out parts?

the roofline around front and back glass, floors and trunk, plus 1/4s need repaired

Someone with a pristine Pontiac that could accept the chassis parts your car has, would jump at the chance to have disc brakes and a posi rear gear...of course it's like everything else associated with the big cars, the market is smaller. Everything you've told us about the car leans towards the body being scrap....
Did you get the engine to turn???

Unless a person had the talent and equipment to do the work themselves, it would be real easy to end up with a car that was worth half the cost of restoring it. It's too bad, but that's the way it is. |

XF 455 Big Pontiacs
Some questions:
How many produced- aka Bonneville XF 4 bolt main 4 door hardtops, 2 door hardtops and wagons? How many of each in each color offered? How many potential classic car owners have just what color preferences? The low market values are due to the low consciousness of such cars. There may be some degree of historical parallel with the values of the late 1930s-early 1940s 4 door convertibles.

There are no plans from me to restore it, but the 455 has some considerable value to the engine, not sure why you would say its not that great ?
. I know its an xf block, but the top end on a Gto block with correct dates would be more valuable. Or just restamp this block for appearance only and not try to pass it off as an original gto ho engine .

Any idea what the disc set up is worth? Booster and all. I know this used to be the set up for the 60s big cars also. Im selling but may part out, but first trying to sell the complete car.

Keep trying to sell it. Someone with a no stopping pristine drum brake car needs this.
