How about a major undertaking... The bowl of the quadrajet! I'm so tired of EVERY Qjet I've ever had leaking through the bowl plug induced cracks. All the stop gap solutions never really work.

That being said I can image this would be a huge undertaking, the Qjet is an incredibly intricate and precise aluminum casting.

We could look into doing this. Does anyone have a wheel or the Lucite emblem in hand??

I do. The wheel is pretty cracked up, though. The horn button is very very nice.

1973-1977 Grand Prix wheel opening mouldings

There is a big call for them and I have seen NOS ones do as high as $310.00 for just 1 with an average being about $175.00 per moulding.

emergency brake cables that would work on Wilwood brakes, I made a adapter pieces for the cables then made stuff to space out the cables and that makes them too long

Eric, if you need a Firebird Lucite horn button bird to copy, or a like-new 73-77 A-body battery tray to copy, let me know. 73-77 A-body battery hold-downs would be easy too.

I can feel your pain on that one. Edelbrock Corporation had a version of the Q-jet they sold for a number of years. It was the side inlet Chevy type . But they had problems with the tooling or dies and quit producing it. They are a zinc die-casting, very complicated and intricate. If anyone began reproducing them, they would certainly make the Chevrolet side inlet. Probably sell them 100 to 1 for the BOP straight inlet. I think you are stuck with marginal used ones. Too bad because a great carburetor.

Thanks, but I'm not looking to buy an 8 Track, already have one. Just thinking about the "aftermarket" in-dash high powered stereos for classic cars that are now available. I think these have hookups for ITunes, IPhones, and whatever. The original style 8 track housings that mount on the floor or the center console, at least in the A body cars, look like they could incorporate a CD player, with the new tech hookups.
Anyway, I just thought I'd plant a seed....
