Pitman arm
It was suggested that I should post here.
I pulled the steering out from the 67 and bought all new except for the pitman arm. I removed it and it has a crimped in stud ball joint that apparently is not designed to b replaced by the consumer. Luckily they are available from the vendors. Although most appear to be the straight version and not the the power steering curved version. I think Ames shows the curved one n their catalog but says not to be used with variable ratio boxes( not sure what difference that makes). The 69 type pitman arm has the joint in the center link instead and I've heard that the center link that's sold is a smaller diameter piece that was made for the Camaro or the 6 cylinder model. I've heard that the curved 9 arm is very tough to come by.
