Default 1972 GTO 455HO WW5

1972 Pontiac GTO WW5. This car runs and drives excellent. NOM 1973 455 with a TH400 trans. Cardinal Red, Black top, Black interior, 88k miles. The floors, trunk and frame are very solid. There is some rust in the lower front fenders, in front of the wheel on the right rear quarter and some around the rear window.

All of the suspension has been gone through. The front and rear upper/lower control arm bushings, springs, shocks brakes, brake hoses, etc have been replaced. The original XT rear diff has been rebuilt with new 307 gears bearings seals etc. Also a new 2.5’’ custom exhaust with SS tips. Much more has been done, too much to list.

Only 290 1972 GTO’s were ordered with WW5 Performance Option which was only available for one year. This was also the most expensive option ever offered on a GTO.
The WW5 Option includes:
455HO engine
TH400 Transmission or 4-speed HD transmission
Safe-T-Track 12 bolt rear axle
RH&LH body color mirrors
Formula steering wheel
Roof drip scalp moldings
Power disk brakes
Custom carpets
Rally gauges with I.P. tach
Also included on the WW5 option is the Y99 Handling Package which includes:
G60 15’’ White letter tires
Power steering
Special springs and shocks
1 1/8’’ diameter front and rear sway bars
GTO/HO identification
Other options include: Radio-stereo, 8-track tape stereo, Air conditioning, Lamp under hood, Cruise control, Honey comb wheels, Electric rear window de-ice, Tinted glass and more.

I have collected a bunch of parts that I will include with the sale.

This is an excellent car to drive as an unrestored survivor type car or to restore.
16,500 obo.

Default 72 WW5

Here are some more pictures and PHS. This car has had one repaint back in the early 80's.

Good luck with the sale.

There's a service sticker in the glove box, its Knopf Pontiac. I did a little research when I first bought the car and found some old dealer pictures. One had a picture of the service dept with a 69 judge in the backround. Pretty cool pic. I'd post it but my computer that has those pics is down right now..

There's a 69 Judge in their service garage. Just another 2-year old car back then...

Unhappy

If I had not bought my 71 in July, I would be on this like a bum on a baloney sandwich.
I wish I had the money to buy it right now.
