We talked about black vs. white consoles in the Black/White tuxedo interiors - which should be correct. It appears that 68-70 received black while the 71/72 received white consoles when paired with white seats.

Pat must have been enjoying the security of a cocktail after the Cowboy's horrible loss to Green Bay when he posted that one.

Had a stock one on a 72 GTO way back, it was broken, never saw that happen before!

VERY nice find, holeshot!

Appears to be a VERY highly optioned WW5.

If / when you find a build sheet or obtain a PHS invoice, I'd love to have a copy for my '72 HO database, if you don't mind.

On the console color topic, here's a shot of the console from the Monarch Yellow WW5 car I almost bought a few years back.

Maybe a build date deal? This car was built in June '72.

Thanks guys, we are pretty excited about it!!

Boss, You are correct.. 11B build, Cardnal red, black top, black interior, built in Pontiac. No lower pans unfortunately. It has a 73 YC 455 in it that is supposedly rebuilt..

PB, I will PM you about the engine..

Lloyd, No problem on the PHS.. Do you have an email address that I can send it to?

I too have to congratulate you on your recent find. Looks like a really solid car. Growing up I really didn't like the look of the '71-'72 cars but now they are my favorites. Hope you are able to fix it up and enjoy it.

How do you know it is a WW5? only way to tell is with PHS or build sheet. All WW5 options were available separate. Either way, congrats on a nice find. They are the very best of all the GTOs. The only total performance GTO Pontiac offered.

Thanks in advance for the PHS!

Once again, congrats on your find. Too bad the original block is gone, but Pat's (PB) would be a good "fit".

It is a cool car! Red on blk. WW5 is an option package, and is on PHS as such as Steve said id only way to verify.

It wouldn't matter to have optioned as a GTO, auto or 4 speed, carpet, drip rails, gauges, pb, 455 HO w/ra, Formie wheel w/ps, sport mirrors, and handling to get big bar in rear.

Still is a nice ride in all conditions!

Y99 gave you the big sway bars and springs.

Correct, the Y99 suspension option was part of the WW5 package but, could also be ordered separately on any intermediate 2 dr Pontiac that year.
Here is the total list of what the Y99 consists of according to my factory docs

*G7O by 15 wht ltr tires Should be G6O not G7O
*Power steering
*Special springs, shocks and stabilizers

cost separate $19O.63
