I happened to see an episode of Fast and Loud last night, they had a 1967 Firebird convertible build. Butler stroker engine and a five speed, and a nice blue paint color. At the beginning of the episode they said the engine horsepower was 540, but by the end they were saying it was 600.

I don't know the details of what a restored '67 Firebird is supposed to look like but that's already a modified car - maybe they liked how it looked with the nameplate mounted in that location.

Interesting stance- I kinda like it. Kind of a modern take on what everyone did in the 80’s. I like it better than tucked 20” wheels

That is the correct location for the grille emblem for both 67 and 68 Birds

Okay, thanks. For some reason it seems high.

The grill has a hole to mount the emblem tab in.

Also saw how the hp increased from 540 to 600 when the car went up for sale. Was the the nitrous or hot air inject? :<)

My 1980 t/a had a awesome 305
A girl in my hometown, in the late 80's, her dad found her a 77 or 78 Formula 4spd with the 305 Chevy engine - factory.
Emission/Tune-Up decal even said 305cid
I had to check up on that because had never heard of or seen one before, back then.
Not many cars of that nature found their way to NC.

It was one of the Cali/High Altitude options back then.
403 Olds was another in that 77-78 timeframe.

I didn't know they were still doing the 305 in 1980

For those that dont like the rear spoiler, here is a factory one that's not seen much.

That's a good looking car, spoiler and all ^.... I'm assuming that it's white and in shadow but it looks light blue...and that sky blue look is pretty cool on that car with the black stripe and interior.

That's probably one of the special paint "Carolina Blue" 72 GT's.
They were a special promotion at NC Dealers, and might have been available nationwide.
I really don't know how contained or how widespread that promotion was.
But they were popular here, and good looking.
At least 3 of them (GT's) that color in my hometown back when, 2 were in the same neighborhood.

A guy in the 70-72 section has a special paint 72 GTO that color too, sold new in Burlington NC.

I have always liked Iron Resurrection. Especially the two Pontiac episodes. I really like the '69 GTO they did. Love that they kept the Pontiac engine in it. Sounds really nasty and gnarly when the car is delivered to the owner.

Some people may not like what Joe Martin did, but the owner is the only one that needs to be happy with it. Looked like the owner liked it.

Whoa...that is a cool spoiler. What year was that an option? Although I'm sure I am in the minority, I greatly prefer that to the 70+ Judge wing. 69 Judge is probably my favorite spoiler.

It was an option on A body cars in 1972, it's sometimes called the ducktail spoiler. My understanding is they were pretty rare.

Those are some great looking wheels. Were they a one-off?

I thought the world had gone crazy and THEN I came here and read people actually bitching about keeping a Pontiac engine in a classic Pontiac. WTAF?

Lack of door mirror is illegal in some places, and just looks weird (I like sport mirrors on both doors), otherwise I like it.

^^ I must have missed that. I didn't see anyone complaining about the Pontiac engine?
