I run the plates that followed the car. An old vintage Indiana 1970 plate would work.

Yes!

I run year of manufacture plates myself. I look for ones with letter/number combos that have meaning to me, but probably no one else.

In AZ, 66-67 are the same. The Jet I fly is a 680 model, so I thought the plate was appropriate. (JTP 680) I just 'happened' to find this vintage plate.

Here in Delaware it's all but impossible to get a plate the refers to a GTO or one that relates to 1966. I do have an original old black plate in excellent condition that I got it from a friend in a swap to move him from Delaware to Nebraska.... plus an Amtrak ticket back home. He wanted $1200 for it. They are hard to come by as most that have them won't give them up or want a lot of money for them. It's nothing all that special except it's a 5 number plate.... 41-500. 4 and 3 number plate cost more and 2 or 1 number plate prices are out of sight. Thousands of dollars or higher for them.

Years ago, when I was editor of Pontiac Enthusiast, I had "Enthuzd" which people took as "Euthanized." That didn't last very long.

I have "DEPTX" and one time when Ann was at the gas station, someone asked her what it meant. She replied., "It's my boyfriend's car, he is a retired porn star."

I thought that was really funny...
