imho - thats pretty close to ALL the money on that car.

His Buy-It-Now was 115k
He sold the car and no I did not buy it. I think the # was fairly close to high bid from my sources.

Car was relisted at 63k or best offer. I'm guessing it sold for 60k.

When he relisted at 63k... I would've pulled the trigger but couldn't get over the color combo.

It's a great car , no doubt about that in my mind.

If it ever gets repainted , i hope someone has the decency to delete the vinyl top.
It is so out of place with that combo it makes the car look cheapo / freako.

i think its appearance hampered the curb appeal bidding value by anywhere from 10-15k alone.

Extending a HUGE Congratulations to whomever bought it.
Probably about the best example of a 73 Formula SD that has been publicly offered in many years.
Anything under 65k was a good fair deal.

So, it's gone...from m 115k to 60ish is quite a range.

Ya that top just killed it. They just don’t work on a second gen.

I'm at Norwalk. I noticed a red SD Trans Am,auto non air condition, from Canada. Got talking to owner he is second owner. Never seen this before. Car is all original except battery. The unique things,no Trans Am decal on one front fender!! Also car was built with air conditioning vents in lower dash but non air car. Car looks all original 19k.He wants to sell car.He has paper trail from original owner.

Default 74 SD in Texas $42.5k

Shouldn't last long, seems like an easy resto while enjoying, If all is there, makes me wonder why the Dealer won't do it.??

Another dealer touting the "superduper-extra-rare bird delete" option. Ugh! The interior looks Texas toasted - dash pad is cracked and the seat foam appears to have turned to dust inside the covers.

Not a bad price for a project if the engine really does check out. But I never trust anyone's "freshly rebuilt" claims unless they can show that someone who knows Pontiacs built it and it comes with paperwork to prove it.

I know some of you guys collect PHS documents on SD cars. Do any of you have any records of 1974 SD cars with VINs ending in 292, 740, or 861?

Wonder what he wants for it? Really nice car. Talked to him a bit about car. He did not mention selling it to me. I guess I look like I could not afford it!!

Too much money for the red SD at Norwalk. Original owner must have be a little off, because the story goes that the right fender was fixed at the factory and the decal was left in the glove box for the dealership to place on. The new owner told them to leave it off, because that's how it left the factory. Date code of the fender matched the car. Left hand, I couldn't make out.

Original owner I was told was Pontiac car salesman. That air conditioning panel below steering wheel was unique.

The other thing the owner mentioned was the SD455 shaker decals were not on the shaker. According to original owners story. Mine were inside scoop according to friend who was mechanic at Constantin Pontiac that received car. Could this been on purpose or other. I've heard rumors that SD cars were abused before loading. Anyone else hear this?

That's preposterous I tell ya! Normal procedure was for them to be abused after unloading! (That was my original owner's experience - he almost beat the crap out of the "dealer prep" guy for taking his car on a joy ride when everyone at the dealership was ordered not to touch the car.) :-)
