I just picked up an unmolested, but needs a lot of help, 64 Lemans 2 door ht for my 25 year old daughter. She has wanted her own collector car for a while. I'll post some pictures as soon as she takes them.

Default Project Update

Man - new springs and that 1-inch spring spacer / lift kit make a big difference! Instead of wallowing down the road like a pig she now has some spring in her step! Oh and those new 3.55 gears are a big improvement over the old highway cruiser setup...

This hobby is fun when you make progress! Now if I can just get that 389 built and under the hood....

Before & After pics....

Never should have sold this. 65 tempest custom Wagon. 455, 350, 67 355 safe-T-trac. All original deluxe interior with 66 rally gauges. GTO hood and lemans grills. 15x7 RII wheels with 215-65-15 front and 255-70-15 rears.

Paint started out as Crystal Turquoise but I had to add 1/3 92 teal GM to get it to better match the interior. Went back east somewhere in 2003. Sorry about the bad scan.

Far from finished, I caught the racing bug. Started off as a 468 with a 66 TriPower. Currently has a Torker II and a 180hp jetted Cheater plate. Best of 11.32 with a 3.23, 8.2 rear.

Default 64 Lemans Convertible, AZ car

Here is mine...just now getting on the road after 4 years of work. Today it has a YC 455 (462) with hydraulic roller, T700R4 with 2500 stall lockup converter, quick ratio steering box and 4 spoke Grant wood wheel, Griffin custom radiator, new GM wiring throughout, 3.25:1 Safe-T-Trac, Classic Air A/C system, killer stereo (for a convertible) with hidden iPod Nano (plays 2000 early rock songs), RAM AIR Restoration ceramic manifolds with 2/5" exhaust thru Dr. Gas X pipe and Xelerators, Global West suspension with disks up front and factory braces with boxed trailing arms in the rear with finned drums. Body is unrestored with lots of original parts. Wheels are AR Torque Thrust IIs, 16". Not being a GTO I felt free to modernize and upgrade the car rather than restore it. It drives great and goes like stink! It has been a fun... but very long, project.

Very nice! Although I'm looking at a KILLER DEAL right now on a 68 GTO, if I ever get another Pontiac that's exactly what I would be looking for, a 64 LeMans or Tempest and just trick it out like you have. Good job!

For those that don't know, both the '64 & '65 GTOs were a LeMans with the GTO option. So, I think they should be included in here. They can't technically be excluded, because the are a LeMans!

Here is my 1964 LeMans HO I just purchased. This is my first Pontiac. It is all stock. I am planning to update a few things but keep it mostly original. Thanks Eric
