Thanks mrrat1 for the post. Now I know what I'm missing on both of my cars.

When you get a chance. Nothing urgent, the car has been on hold. Besides, If you hadn't told me. I wouldn't have known I was missing anything.

Default Maiden voyage

It's been a while. But after a couple of years replacing and refixing motor problems, I finally get to take her down the road. There's still a list of things that haven't got done yet. Such as evac system, seat belt, battery disconnect, and hood comes to mind right now. I just tried to download a short road video and couldn't get it to take it. I have been able to send it out e-mail.

I was able to get the wife's aero coupe tech inspection ready for Norwalk. We got there Friday night. Convinced some friends to go with their late 80's big tire T/A. His new tranny puked on Wednesday evening. Brought his car to my place to use the lift. We pulled an all nighter and put his spare tranny in. Thursday evening we headed out. Only to have a wheel bearing fail on his trailer aborting the trip until Friday. We made it about ten minutes late [8:10p.m.] So we spent the night at Linders lot. Saturday morning we got in. The place was packed !! We ended up having to go to the overflow area behind the camp grounds. Anyhow Saturday was a real nice day. I ran the car and it went 11.6's. This was the first time on the track. Needless to say we were very happy with the car. Here are a few photos.

I thought that was your car - saw it from a distance and a few of us were talking about it - looked good, ran even better!

Thanks Boss, Getting there late and being on the other side kind of killed the mingling in the pits that we enjoy after we're done racing. Still we had a great time and am already planning for next year.

There was some talk about a front air dam support that some aero coupes had. I decided to make a support bracket for mine. If it works out ,I'll make one for our driver.

Just came across this thread. Theres one of these cars a couple miles down the road from me. May be the original or second owner. I know it has been parked for many years. Paint is finally starting to fail. I had at one time thought about talking to the guy about it but have too many irons in the fire. If I had to guess I would say its one of the "not for sale, im gonna fix it up one of these days". Its sitting along a busy road and im sure im not the only guy to notice it.

Thanks ! That was one of those little projects. Where I really didn't know what it would look like until I made it. I'm happy with the fit. Weather permitting, we'll test it out at the local track tomorrow.

Default frame off aero

Hey Mike, my friend is going full bore now on this I had mentioned to you. Here are some photos. It is now a 400 PONTIAC motor, TKO 600, Grand national rear. Frame off and powder coated. He but 2x2 frame acroos the entire back to stiffen the car up from the t tops. He made it a fold down rear seat.
Check out the shaker he did, hood is sick.

Wow, he's doing it right. I was too chicken to completely disassemble the rear aero parts. I did put a shaker hood scoop on our car. Thanks for the update.

Cool, yeah he is a nut. Wanted the shaker to shake! The amount of time he has in that car is crazy. He knows he will never get his $$ back, he is building that for his son. His son loves the car.
